Fettes College Guangzhou (FCG), opened in September 2020, as the first overseas campus of Fettes College. The new school is closely linked to Fettes College and shares its ethos and vision: to provide the highest quality holistic, and broad-based education that will stretch and challenge its students, equipping them with the qualifications, skills and personal qualities that enable them to flourish and succeed at school and beyond.

Fettes College Guangzhou is located on a spacious, world-class campus in Zengcheng, bordered by forests and hills, and yet is within one hour’s drive of Guangzhou city centre and Baiyun International Airport. The campus has been designed with flair and imagination to capture the unique character and features of Fettes’ Edinburgh campus.


Main Accountabilities:

Love students, treat students patiently and carefully, cooperate with teachers and housekeepers, take care of students' daily life in a comprehensive and meticulous manner, and do well in health care and education; create a good "family" atmosphere, for example: during breaks and evenings Arrange snacks, or prepare a birthday cake for students to celebrate their birthdays.Responsible for students' ideological trends, take care of students who are ill, and report the student's condition to the head teacher in time; in case of emergencies, contact the staff of the house supervisor and the health center for handling in time.Responsible for the time nodes of students' daily life.Responsible for room cleaning and ensuring the smooth operation of facilities, sending and receiving, washing, drying, and organizing student clothes every day, helping and guiding students to keep their own clothes.Daily record of students' situation; keep the phone open and communicate with students' parents on a regular basis.The Boarding Tutor should abide by the work and rest system, start on time on time, never leave the post, if there are special circumstances, should ask for leave from the house supervisor, and then leave the post after approval.Participate in the meetings arranged by the house supervision organization and the training courses arranged by the psychological care director on time to improve management ability.


Skills/qualifications:

Have relevant work experience as a Boarding TutorLove student education, be competent for dormitory management in all boarding schools; have good dormitory management experience.Will use computers and modern multimedia teaching methods, excellent communication skills and organizational management skills.Have a sense of responsibility, keep in mind your personal responsibility for safety, health and dormitory environment; ensure the safety of students.Philipino nationality will be given priority.


Cross-cultural teaching experience and adaptability to establish positive relationships with students and parents from diverse cultural backgrounds, fostering cultural exchange and understanding.
