Who we are looking for:

Reporting to the Senior Associate, the Associate 2 Fund Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the completion of accurate and timely reconciliations integral to the completion of the Net Asset Value (NAV) of a fund. This involves adherence to strict deadlines while supervising and contributing to the development of the team.

What you will be responsible for:

As Fund Accountant Associate 2 you will:

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Assisting with the accurate and timely production of the Net Asset Value

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Ensuring all positions are priced correctly

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Verifying that corporate actions have been processed accurately

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Processing and reviewing fund capital activity

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Performing and assisting review of cash and position reconciliations of listed and derivative products

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Supervising investigation and resolution of all reconciling cash and position items

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Coordinating with other departments on miscellaneous fund queries and reconciliations

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Processing and reviewing of various accounting transactions

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Assisting with training and development of staff

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Degree in Business, Accounting or related field.

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Approx 2 years related experience in a fund accounting environment, including knowledge of cash and position reconciliation in funds (hedge or mutual)

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Knowledge of financial products such as equities, futures, fixed income, options, etc

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Knowledge of corporate actions will be an advantage

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Excellent attention to detail

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Strong numerical / analytical skills

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Highly computer literate

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Excellent communication skills

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Organised and Deadline-driven

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Good team player, with supervisory experience a distinct advantage
