Job Description

Position Summary:

Lead a team of quality engineers/inspectors to manage and improve quality for Thermo China manufacture to achieve defined quality and meet production needs through initial supplier quality system and procedures assessment, managing on going performance, setting expectations, preventive and corrective actions, This position supports China manufacturing operations needs and strategies.

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities :

• Develop quality strategy and roadmap to support company goal tree;

• Leads in a manner that ensures solid quality performance and product integrity. Achieves continuous improvement in quality by applying continuous improvement tools and methods, and driving team improvement projects.

• Maintain ISO quality management system certification;

• Define quality planning; Technical engineering approach to improve product’s quality and process’s reliability;

• Facilitate cause analysis and corrective action process to escalate customer allegiance level;

• Set up PPI Lean practices and promote culture of continuously eliminate waste and improve productivity;

• Control technical data of products and engineering change process to secure manufacturing quality.

• Manage and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of all documentation and processes to meet business and quality requirements.

• Maintain a strong awareness of applicable safety regulations and best practices;

• Verify that Company's procedures for high risk operations are complied with, and develop additional procedures for new high risk operations;

• Lead incident investigations, identify root causes and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.

• Interacts on a cross-functional basis as required to insure proper Engineering involvement and records maintenance, timely and accurate financial reporting, proper inter-face with the Supply Chain organization, proper support of HR policies and practices, and solid communication across the organization.

• Quality data statistic and reporting.

• Quality and regulatory related training.

• Occasional travel is required, including international travel.

Educational Qualifications:

• BSc or MSc in related field, Major in engineering or relevant

• Related training, like Six Sigma, DTF (Demand Flow Technology) or Lean Manufacturing is preference

Experience Qualifications:

• Experience Required: 5 years above experience in manufacturing or engineering environment; Solid quality management skill;

• Familiar with product regulatory requirement such as CE/CSA/UL/CCC/NMPA

• Strong interpersonal skills, with proven ability to effectively interact with multiple organizational units.

• Must be able to work on multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously, while acting in a decisive manner and demonstrating a bias for action.

• Good oral and written communication skill in English and Mandarin Chinese .
