Sommelier

The Peninsula Beijing is seeking a high-profile Sommelier with exceptional wine knowledge and experience to provide high quality services for guests.

Key accountabilities​

• Responsible for the recommendation and sales of wines and other beverages to guests. Offer and promote the digestives.
• Be skillful to deliver wine / beverage service sequence and performance standard in accordance with the hotel standards.
• Maintain and update wine and all other beverage lists and establish sommelier recommendation.
• Greet guests, handle comments and problems whenever required and promote sales to meet forecasted revenues.
• Converse with guests to maintain a good relationship as well as extending personal touch.

General requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years food and beverage operation experience
• Minimum qualification of WSET Level 3 or CMS Level 2
• Ability to manage and work in a team, creative, motivated.
• Ability to speak English fluently.
