Head of GBA (Great Bay Area) Clients, Greater China Life and Health Company Munich Re Location Hong Kong , Greater China

Munichre Service Limited, part of Munich Re, the world's largest reinsurer, is seeking a Head of GBA Clients to spearhead profitable and sustainable business growth in the Great Bay Area. This pivotal role involves fostering robust client relationships, pinpointing lucrative reinsurance opportunities, leading new product development endeavors, and championing digital solutions.

This position is based in Hong Kong and reports to Chief Commercial Officer, Greater China Life & Health.

YOUR ROLE
• Lead negotiations and ensure the acceptance of life reinsurance business in alignment with company pricing and underwriting standards.
• Efficiently deliver client services, including coordinating service requests, preparing quotations and treaty documents, gathering market intelligence and client information, and managing reinsurance accounts and financial outcomes.
• Manage key accounts, serving as the primary contact point; lead major business development initiatives and in-depth consulting projects.
• Conduct ongoing research on market developments, changes in client needs, emerging threats and opportunities, and external best practices to enhance service capabilities and quality continually.
• Serve as the Center of Competence in designated functional areas (e.g., life benefits, living benefits, group insurance).
• Engage in local marketing activities and industry events to establish Munich Re as the leading professional reinsurer with unparalleled local expertise.

YOUR PROFILE
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or a related field.
• Qualified actuary (FSA, FIA, or equivalent) with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the insurance industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in product development, risk management, and financial analysis.
• Proven track record in client relationship management and project/process management.
• Strong leadership skills, technical proficiency, and extensive management experience in an international context.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and deal completion skills.
• Proficient in both spoken and written English and Mandarin; fluency in Cantonese is preferred
