At BASIS, we believe students can achieve authentic learning through robust challenges. From middle school onwards, our students engage in advanced coursework, setting high expectations while establishing a solid foundation in core subjects, revisiting and reinforcing concepts in greater depth each year to prepare for entry into honors and Advanced Placement levels starting in ninth grade. As a U.S. History teacher, you teach students about the cultural, economic, political, and social developments that have shaped the United States from c. 1491 to the present while preparing them for success in AP testing. 


As an Economics teacher, you build upon this strong foundation, teaching topics focused on the importance of economics as a tool for making sense of the world, not only for monetary transactions but also in other subjects such as biology, politics, and more. You also collaborate with fellow teachers to bring other subjects into your class and enhance students' cross-subject understanding. 


You will also:
