The Dundee International Institute of Central South University (the Institute) is an exciting new partnership between the University of Dundee (UoD) and Central South University (CSU) in China. CSU is a Class A Double First Class University located in Changsha, Hunan Province.

This post will be based at DIICSU in Changsha, China. A semester at CSU is 20 weeks, of which 16 are taught, with the remainder used for assessment.

Your priorities will include:

  • To spend both semesters each academic year at CSU to deliver teaching in the programmes and develop teaching and scholarship collaborations with colleagues at CSU.
  • To be responsible for the design and quality of course modules in specialist areas. Where appropriate, to identify the need for developing the content or structure of existing modules and make proposals on how this should be achieved.
  • To meet the requirements of the University of Dundee Quality Framework, ensuring that all teaching and assessment activities are maintained to the required standards.

Who we’re looking for:

  • PhD in a relevant subject
  • Clear evidence of learning and teaching competence, including at least two years of teaching experience at university level
  • Evidence of ability and willingness to work collaboratively with others
  • Ability to teach across a range of subjects
  • Ability to teach and manage project based teaching
