EXPERIENCE: 10+ Years, FPSO experience, Commissioning engineer III
POSITION: National /Expat
MANDATORY: Good English communication skills, prior fab-yard experience, all Marine equipment (including HPU, Ballast, Cargo Pump) experience.
The role is characterized by:
Strong technical I&C skills with a significant portion of this experience being in field.Collaboration with the Contractor to ensure requirements for commissioning activities are clearly understood and adhered to including early I&C commissioning work-fronts and opportunities.Ability to efficiently work with other groups (engineering, construction, quality) to resolve issuesGood communication skills and assertiveness to intervene when work is being done unsafely or not per required procedureLeadership to ensure project priorities of safety, quality, and schedule are achieved.Ensuring Commissioning efforts and technical oversight include all module yards and utilize yard specialists and other discipline engineers/system owners as required.Upon module sail away, this position will roll into Singapore Organization assisting in overall Commissioning scope.TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities of the I&C Commissioning Lead include:Commissioning champion for identifying early Commissioning work-fronts through vendorshop and yard, pre-integration commissioning efforts; including, but not limited to the instrumentation discipline.Ensuring Contractor Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning are executing to take advantage of smart junction box technologies and the differences between more traditional multicore cables back to Smart JB design approach.Understanding of Honeywell ADC will be advantageous.Be familiar with the Contract Scope of Work and all Systems Completion Project Specifications pertaining to Commissioning, especially regarding instrumentation and controls, which may impact commissioning, installation, and startup.Review and provide input to Contractor deliverables including but not limited to P&IDs, Procedures, Schedules, Plans, Check Sheets, Fishbone Diagrams, Skylines, Loop Folders, Work Packs, Permit to Work (PTW), OTPs etc.Strong knowledge of systems completion database, able to understand project scope of work in terms of ITR A/Bs to be completed at Fab-Yard.Drive yard progress through database tool, help contractor to generate reports for management on progress update.Participate in appropriate FATs and SATs; document completed testing and identify deficiencies.Participate in toolbox talks and daily work coordination meetings; communicate status to planning and leadership.Provide onsite leadership to workforce to ensure safe execution of commissioning activities; review of systems ready for MC acceptance to ensure safety issues are addressed prior to commissioning. ·Monitor execution of work in the field to ensure compliance with approvedprocedures and processes; identify quality issues early and work with Contractor to resolve them. ·Monitor workforce to ensure worker competency and raise concerns for discipline specific training when needed.Participate in walk downs to review completion of facility scope and identify outstanding work lists and punch list items; perform punch closure verification as needed.Guide/Train/Mentor Contractor and Company workforce to ensure final facility is constructed, commissioned, and documented per Company expectationsAdvise Contractor regarding post-start-up surveillance, tuning, performance testing, and system troubleshooting, and discipline appropriate root cause failure analysis ·Support transition to Operations through participation in required post-start-up functional testing.Demonstrate commitment to safety through engagement in Commissioning Permit to Work, Mechanical and Electrical Isolation and Safety Work Manuals to ensure efficient and safe execution of the work. Provides input in the field to JSA’s and Risk Assessments. Monitor workforce’s adherence to Procedures and participate in Safety Walks, Hazard Hunts, attend toolbox meetings. ·Provide required support and commissioning lookahead to commissioning lead timely and effectivelyAny adhoc tasks as required
