Job Description

Global Procurement in Danfoss Sensing Solutions is seeking a talented Category Buyer who thrives in a matrix organizational structure and is fluent in English. As a Category Buyer, you will play a critical role in our procurement team, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and execute category strategies that drive value for the organization.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand category requirements and priorities.

• Develop and implement category strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within the category.

• Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to ensure optimal terms and performance.

• Drive cost savings initiatives, process improvements, and innovation within the category.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution of category strategies.

• Monitor supplier performance, contract compliance, and market dynamics to proactively address issues and identify opportunities.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates, recommendations, and insights related to the category.

• Support continuous improvement efforts within the procurement function and contribute to overall team goals.

Background & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field.

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably within a global organizational structure.

• Fluency in English, both written and verbal, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proven ability to develop and implement category strategies that drive value and cost savings.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

• Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.

• Collaborative mindset with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
