POSITION SUMMARY (Objective/Purpose of Position):

Implements work plans, equipment and process methods for NVH validation to meet the Company's NVH analysis needs to maximize the use of regional NVH validation capabilities. Ensures work schedules and staff are assigned as needed to meet program validation needs in support of timelines. Coordinate efforts with other NVH labs to meet program and product NVH validation needs. Serve as NVH expert towards Engineering and Program Teams

Major Actions and Support Actions

1. Cascade company vision/mission, values and safety vision to reporting teams globally and acknowledge team members evidencing support.

2. Propose and support global NVH methods, equipment, processes, facilities, and services to provide best use of resources/equipment that meet requirements.

3. Execution for the cost effective management of the teams to achieve the business operating objectives established for the year. Work with NVH staff members to propose improvements that will reduce validation time, costs or increase throughput using existing resources.

4. Support development of the NVH teams in line with the PDP/CPD/AE delivery process, ensuring global directions are integrated to the regional NVH teams. Continually seeks improvements in the process, tools and engineering methods for possible integration in the existing processes.

5. Integrate new customer NVH needs and processes as needed. Present information to the Engineering Team leadership to establish future validation/NVH requirements

6. Lead to be creative and well versed in NVH technology and measurement trends. Ensures the use of a proper evaluation and selection process to do this.

7. Collaborates with cross functional teams to develop NVH validation plans. Perform NVH tests in support of validation and development plans and provide results to product development teams.

8. Support root cause investigations for part validation concerns, quality complaints and warranty returns.

Experience:

• 5-8 years experience in Automotive Product Engineering and Validation environment with at least 3 years in NVH specialization.

• Direct cross functional team contact and product delivery to automotive customers.

• Knowledge of automotive customer launch processes (APQP, Phase gate, DFMEA, etc.)

• Must be familiar with technical information received such as specifications, test methods, processes, etc.

Technical skills related to creating NVH methods and analysis and adapting NVH methods to meet changing testing/evaluation needs.
