JOB SUMMARY

As the head honcho of the Rooms department, you'll be the brains behind the operation. Your job is to make sure everything in the rooms is top-notch. This gig involves working with your team to come up with strategies, implementing the brand's service plan, and making sure everything runs smoothly. From meeting customer needs to keeping the team happy and boosting the department's finances, you've got your hands full.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

  • 2-year degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related field with 4 years of experience in guest services or a similar area.
  • OR
  • 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related field with 2 years of experience in guest services or a similar area.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Leading Rooms Team

  • Spearheads the brand's service mission for product and service delivery.
  • Sets clear goals for the department and makes sure things get done.
  • Keeps an eye on room rates, deals, and promotions.

Managing Profitability

  • Looks into service problems and figures out trends.
  • Works with the team to align the operational strategy with the brand's plan.
  • Keeps tabs on expenses and finances.

Managing Revenue Goals

  • Tracks the sales performance against the budget.
  • Reviews financial reports to see how things are going against the budget.
  • Coaches the team on managing occupancy, rates, and expenses.

Ensuring and Providing Exceptional Customer Service

  • Showcases what makes customers happy and aims to keep it that way.
  • Focuses on top-notch customer service at all touchpoints.
  • Deals with guest feedback and makes things right.

Managing and Conducting Human Resources Activities

  • Handles interviews and hiring.
  • Makes sure everyone is treated fairly.
  • Keeps the team in the loop with regular communication.
