Development Manager (Full Stack Engineering) role is responsible for creating secure technology solutions using Agile methodology to address business needs and drive continuous improvement. The role involves serving as the technical lead for specific China Insurance applications, overseeing the entire lifecycle from enhancement delivery to production support. Additionally, the individual will liaise with local regulators on IT matters and collaborate with various stakeholders locally and globally.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

This role encompasses the following tasks:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining applications with functional testing, code review, and deployment
  • Utilizing front-end and back-end technology stacks, implementing products using agile methodologies, and ensuring a competitive edge
  • Acting as the domain IT Subject Matter Expert for supporting applications and offering insights to align with business growth needs
  • Participating in code reviews and design meetings, addressing issues promptly to keep the team on track
  • Owning IT services to maintain end-to-end service/application operations
  • Cultivating strong relationships with business units and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction with IT services
  • Serving as the local IT representative, handling local IT matters and regulatory responses

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Proficiency in various modern technology stacks
  • Familiarity with technology trends, architectural concepts, Container platforms, Cloud platforms, and network technology
  • Understanding of project governance, stakeholder management, and third-party coordination
  • Strong business acumen, cost reduction capabilities, and a drive to achieve results in complex environments
  • Ability to work well in a team, handle stress, and self-motivate
  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or related fields
  • Experience in insurance companies or banks (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Data platforms and Data Domain (a plus)
