Main Objectives:

  • Enlarge the capacity of legal department to better support legal matters of Chassis Modules Business related legal entities in China and Region Asia Pacific;
  • Support important projects, M&A transactions, governance and compliance related topics etc. as assigned.

Key responsibilities:

  • Serve as an experienced member of the in-house team;
  • Quick learning so as to fit into a standalone business environment of Chassis Modules Business as an inhouse legal adviser;
  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts and relevant legal documents for Chassis Modules Business legal entities4. Provide legal support by advising on a broad range of legal issues relating to customer & supplier contracts, corporate and M&A related matters, commercial, etc.;
  • Manage and coordinate with external lawyers in arbitration & litigation cases;
  • Legal & Compliance training;
  • Other duties and responsibilities assigned by line manager/General Counsel.

Requirements, skills, abilities:

  • Good legal documents drafting skills both in English and Chinese; good command in communication with good persuasive and negotiation skills; effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin
  • Familiar with general corporate culture within multinational corporation
  • Ability to solve practical problems with some creativity and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Well organized and be able to work under pressure and within tight deadlines;
  • Demonstrated initiative with integrity, teamwork orientation and high intelligence level;
  • In depth knowledge of corporate law, Chinese laws and regulations in relation to foreign investment companies;
  • Chinese Bar exam or equivalent.
  • Around 6-8 years of MNC in-house or top law firm experience, ideally combining both in-house and law firm experience. Experience in the manufacturing industry especially automobile industry is nice to have
  • Obtained LLB or LLM from top foreign or Chinese Law Schools, oversea education background is a plus
  • Top Legal English communication both in oral and written form
  • Good command in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc.
