Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a trainee to join our Production Engineer team based in Shanghai Lingang for a period from June to December. This role presents a unique opportunity for students to engage in enhancing production processes and Lean practices.


Main Responsibilities

Gain expertise in Lean methodology and continuous enhancement. Utilize IE tools and contribute to on-site improvement initiatives and projects. Drive production efficiency and quality improvements by streamlining assembly processes and waste reduction. Demonstrate proficiency in Lean principles, 5S, Poka-yoke, layout optimization, and waste reduction techniques. Understand Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards and Ergonomics for process enhancement. Apply Lean tools like Fishbone diagrams, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), A3, Bottleneck analysis, Heijunka, and 6 Sigma for process optimization. Show initiative in self-learning, analysis, and knowledge sharing, with a readiness to present findings.

Requirements for Success

Educational background in mechanical or industrial engineering. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to tackle problems and navigate critical situations effectively. Understanding of hydraulics. Proficiency in English, especially in reading. Familiarity with CAD or similar design software. Competence in Microsoft or Google office suites. Proactive nature with a keen sense of accountability. Sharp logical thinking and analytical skills.
