Job Summary
  • Responsible for curriculum development, raising standards and enhancing teaching and learning, setting up the assessment criteria for pupils and identifying areas for academic review
  • Supervise and evaluate expatriate teachers' teaching performance, conduct class observations and supervise non-teaching.
  • Develop and maintain a system of records that will indicate pupil progress in relation to selected goals and objective of the school system.
  • Perform administrative tasks including conducting staff meetings and writing newsletters
  • Ensure the kindergarten follows the health and safety requirement of the kindergarten
  • Work with the Principal to develop the disciplinary and expected behaviour and assessment criteria for expatriate teachers Conduct regular parents workshop to enhance the understanding of parents on the curriculum and relationship building
RequirementsThe successful candidate will combine a track record of highly successful leadership and, preferably, experience of working in both the UK and China. He or she must have the desire to work as part of a team with colleagues in the UK and China, and in particular to build a close relationship with a Chinese counterpart within the school's dual leadership structure. First-class communication skills with the gravitas to act as a credible ambassador to a range of audiences is crucial and will be complemented by commercial acumen and the personal drive to establish this new school as a success from the outset. A genuine alignment with the educational values of the project is of paramount importance and these will become clear in the information that follows.
  • Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education and at least 5 years of kindergarten teaching experience
  • Minimum 2 years management experience in international or bilingual kindergartens
  • Knowledge of EYFS, High Scope, Reggio curriculum and teaching experience is preferred
  • Excellent inter-personal skills with students, teachers and parents
  • Excellent administrative, organisational, and ICT skills
