Who you are:

As Lead Indirect Material & Services (IMS) in Region China you are responsible for the development of a well-controlled IMS structure supporting efficient management of Safety, Quality, Cost and Compliance. As Lead IMS you also act as supplier developer and trusted to plan and drive IMS related projects running on global, regional and local level. The role is placed in the function Global Sourcing that is the sourcing partner to whole Alfa Laval Group and you act as IMS business interface for region China and a good ambassador for Global Souring in communication to all points of contacts. Your daily work is in an international environment networking in close cooperation with global commodities and region China purchase departments.

About the job:

  • Structure and maintain the scope of IMS spend categories.
  • Develop and install overall IMS processes securing control of compliance at all stages.
  • Collect and identify cost saving activities in the annual budget process.
  • Drive and align regional cost down activities for meeting of targets.
  • Categorize requisitions for right purchase approach in relation to sort of purchase and value in money.
  • Review local purchase departments IMS work routines for suggestion of efficiency improvements and regional harmonization.
  • Categorize and sub level the IMS supplier base from contracted for repeated purchase over long time down to one off purchase.
  • Identification, evaluation, negotiation, contracting and implementation of key suppliers.
  • Perform large spend/vital purchases for sites/factories including CAPEX/OPEX.
  • Support development and implementation of region China IMS harmonizing strategy.
  • Support and safeguard that contracts made by Global Indirect Purchasing (GIP) are followed.
  • Plan and drive IMS related projects running on global, regional and local level.
  • Monitor IMS supplier's performance and take corrective actions as and when required.
  • IMS business interface to Product Groups, Business Units, Sites, Factories and Global Sourcing departments.

What you know:

Knowledge:

  • 10+ years relevant experience in sourcing area from international manufacturing company
  • Documented background from working with Indirect purchase and lead of indirect purchase
  • Documented project management competence and experience
  • University degree relating to the job
