The Teacher of Science is responsible to the Head of Academics for building and then running successful and innovative provision for the teaching of Science. The successful candidate will:

Have a clear vision for effective learning and teaching in ScienceHave a clear understanding of what excellence in Science looks likeA strong academic background and a good degree in Chemistry or Biology or other closely related subject This is a unique and exciting opportunity to establish and shape this new international school and the successful candidate will need to: possess outstanding teaching skills and be enterprising and proactivepromote a strong culture of developing practice in learning and teachinghave excellent communication, problem solving and critical thinking skillssupport the distinctive ethos of the School and actively participate in the School communitypossess the empathy and understanding required for effective people management Safeguarding and Welfare Lady Eleanor Holles International School Foshan is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and /or other reference and security checks for those applicants residing / working outside the UK. Further / refresher training will be provided as part of the School induction process for any staff who will be working regularly in direct contact with students.
