We are on the lookout for a Head of Secondary Visual Arts to join our team at NACIS Shanghai school, which is a part of Nord Anglia Education.
THE SCHOOLNACIS Shanghai, established in September 2016, provides students with an enriching, stimulating, and fulfilling educational journey. Catering to students aged 6 to 18, our school community embraces a progressive and globally aware approach to education. We deliver a unique bilingual, blended learning curriculum that leads to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Situated in Shanghai's Minhang District, our school boasts top-notch facilities that complement our innovative teaching methodologies.

THE ROLE- Report to the Deputy Head of Secondary
- Provide leadership, inspiration, and guidance to the secondary school Visual Arts department
- Work closely with the Secondary Leadership Team to ensure students' academic progress
- Contribute to school improvement and development initiatives
- Promote the learning priorities of the school development plan
- Develop a high-performance culture for both students and staff
The role involves fostering an environment of high expectations, designing aligned learning activities, and creating a culture of limitless potential. Additionally, promoting respect, facilitating learning through engagement, and encouraging discussion are key aspects.
ABOUT YOUWe seek individuals who can quickly adapt to an international setting, hold a university degree and a recognized teaching qualification, and have teaching experience. As a committed and creative professional, you should continuously reflect on your teaching methods, explore new ideas, and implement innovative approaches to enhance educational outcomes.
Collaborative by nature, you should be an effective communicator across diverse audiences, establishing strong relationships with parents and students. Meeting visa requirements for China is essential, including a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience.
