As a Category Specialist for Motion Business Area in Shanghai, China, you will be responsible for developing and implementing responsible category strategy focused on optimizing cost, quality, delivery, service and supply chain flexibility.
Your responsibilities- Managing planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, minimizes risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and in accordance with Company guidelines
- Participating in the contract negotiation of the global suppliers together with the GCM, and leading the contract negotiations of the local suppliers
- Adapting corporate contractual framework to the local business needs. Providing ongoing oversight and contract management with suppliers
- Ensuring identification, investigation, and selection of appropriate suppliers (focusing on quality, delivery, cost and sustainability) in accordance with Company policies. Providing and maintaining standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with company directives and guidelines
- Contributing and participating in setting and implementing budget and targets within the framework. Ensuring the responsible category sourcing performance targets are achieved
- Defining & constant improvement of value chain with focus to shorten lead time and optimize logistic processes, considering total cost
- Defining and reaching targets for Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation in the responsible category
- Working with Quality and SQE to improve supplier performance (OTD, PPM, lead time etc.) and managing and monitoring the supplier portfolio and develop supplier to build right supply base
- Identifying, tracking and implementing cost saving actions and push VA/VE project to meet the cost targets for the category
- Bachelor and above degree of Mechanical or Engineering related
- At least 5 years' experience as purchasing engineer or sourcing related work
- Knowledge in MS office, SAP
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good negotiation and communication skills
- Good master of both oral and written English
