We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Assistant Accountant.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Overseeing all aspects of Financial Reporting (including Group reporting) and Regulatory Reporting for all the legal entities in Hong Kong for Asset Management Business. Communicate with the Regulator of the latest regulations and reporting requirement updates
  • Coordinate with external auditors in the preparation of company financial statements, and fund accounts where required according to the Regulatory timeline. Liaise with Business, Risk team, Investments Operations team, Trustee and Fund Admin as well as other teams to perform the timely Fund audit for both interim and annual report and the Statutory audit reports
  • Maintain a strong control environment over the reporting process and strengthen existing ledger control to ensure data integrity
  • Perform Treasury and payment function in HSBCnet, monitor the daily liquid capital requirement as per the Regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to and participate in finance projects and initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with Global Standards, Business Risk and Control Management, internal and external audit
  • Identify areas for process improvement to increase efficiency
  • Work in partnership with the business and Business Finance in providing Financial Control support
Requirements
  • University degree or post graduate degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Subject matter expertise in financial accounting and reporting. CPA is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in Financial Institutions. Knowledge of Asset Management Business and SFC regulations preferred
  • Be energetic, proactive and mature to work independently
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work under pressure
