Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team at Sidel. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing sourcing strategies for assigned spend categories, ensuring supplier management for given sets of suppliers or categories of spend.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support global commodity strategies definition and implementation for assigned spend categories by providing inputs and performing analysis.
  • Negotiate contracts with global Suppliers, including lists, quality standards, prices, discount rates, duration, delivery timescales, commercial terms and conditions.
  • Perform supplier base management activities, ensuring contracting tasks, financial risk assessment, non-quality cost recovery, supplier visit and disengagement process, and manage supplier relationships at a global level.
  • Actively interact with suppliers to drive productivity, meet quality requirements, and mitigate risks.
  • Manage forcefully issues escalated impacting execution.
  • Scout new suppliers to comply with category strategy and lead the qualification process to develop a unique sustainable supplier base.
  • Perform analysis in assigned spend categories, monitoring the market through constant benchmarking and/or cost breakdown analysis to continuously improve costs, quality, delivery, and technology.
  • Perform business continuity assessment, including financial risk, supplier dependency analysis, and capacity assessment with dual source analysis.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent.
  • Engineering degree preferred; Business, Economics also accepted.
  • Minimum 5 years in strategic sourcing in an international manufacturing company.
  • Experience in international negotiation, contract, and claim management.
  • Lean Specialist, Green Belt, and TPM for Drawing Parts.
  • English language proficiency.
