Role Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineering Teams at TE Connectivity serve as process leaders in stamping, molding, and assembly operations, ensuring that these processes operate at peak efficiency for both quality and output. They are specialists in mold tooling, die tooling, machining, and assembly methodologies, possessing in-depth knowledge of the relevant manufacturing processes. This includes the optimization and standardization of stamping, molding, assembly, and other procedures within the manufacturing landscape.

The Manufacturing Engineering Teams empower TE business unit plants to achieve TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) standards, implement Centers of Excellence (COE), and disseminate Best Demonstrated Practices (BDPs). They provide guidance to plants regarding tool and machine replication, adjustments, and enhancements.

Additionally, they are responsible for designing and developing manufacturing processes and automation systems, applying these innovations to both new product developments and the enhancement of existing products in production. The Teams also collaborate with Product Development to select and optimize tools for piece part production, ensuring the most suitable manufacturing concepts are chosen based on anticipated production volumes, quality standards, and manufacturing locations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the daily maintenance and repair of the electroplating production line, ensuring product quality while effectively managing costs.

- Ensure the safety and efficacy of electroplating materials and chemicals, adhering to relevant regulations and standards.

- Develop and implement process control procedures for electroplating, ensuring product quality and production efficiency.

- Evaluate and enhance production line processes.

- Complete other assigned tasks while ensuring the safety of equipment and chemicals used.

- Create and revise production operation manuals.

- Contribute to the skill development of the process technology team.
