Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Android Framework Engineer to enhance and tailor the Android Linux operating system for our innovative devices. This role involves a deep dive into system-level development and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Modify and enhance the Android Linux OS to meet unique device specifications, focusing on bootloader, kernel settings, and driver integration.
  • Create and incorporate custom frameworks and libraries to broaden Android capabilities while maintaining system stability.
  • Engage in the development of new product platforms.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of Android internals.
  • Work with Android IPC/RPC and Binder technologies.
  • Identify and rectify system-level challenges related to the Android Linux OS and frameworks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Establish security protocols to safeguard against vulnerabilities in the Android Linux OS.
  • Enhance system efficiency by assessing resource utilization and applying optimizations at both kernel and framework levels.
  • Implement mechanisms for key and device identifier verification to ensure the authenticity of hardware-supported keys.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain documentation of system configurations and troubleshooting methods.
  • Utilize debugging tools such as crash logs, gdb, JTAG, systrace, and traceview.

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in Android/Linux system development, including kernel customization and device tree alterations.
  • Proficient in Java and C/C++ for Android framework development.
  • Strong debugging capabilities and familiarity with system-level debugging tools.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks such as SELinux and secure boot processes.
  • Experience in performance enhancement techniques for embedded systems.
  • Understanding of key provisioning and proofing architectures.
  • Familiarity with the software stack for key configuration and proofing.
  • Awareness of cloud services and their integration with Android/Linux systems.
  • Experience in creating and integrating trusted applications for secure Android/Linux environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with embedded Linux development platforms.
  • Understanding of hardware interfaces and Android HAL development.
  • Familiarity with platform-specific services and APIs for Android/Linux.
  • Knowledge of Android system internals and services.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Familiarity with tools like Gerrit, OpenGrok, and Jenkins.
  • Strong communication skills in both Chinese and English.
