We are seeking an experienced Welder to join our team in Alstom, where you will be responsible for the welding of bogie frames. As a Welder at Alstom, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our trains.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will have more than 5 years of experience in the welding sector of bogie frames. They will be responsible for executing assembly and welding of parts made of steel on plate/tube from 1,5mm to 20mm thickness in all welding positions performing the welding process: MAG.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Regulating and preparing the welding equipment according to work instruction (voltage, amperage, welding speed, oscillation, flow of shielding gas and so on).
  2. TIG is desirable in order to be used in case of welding repairs、backing weld and tack welding.
  3. Use tools, equipment and instruments such as: measuring tape, weld gauge, square and gauges to make visual weld checking.
  4. Conduct assembly before welding, positioning the parts and performing tack welds to place them at the correct location, verifying the quality, specifications and measurements of the drawing.
  5. Execute his/her duties following the norms, instructions and requirements contained in the procedures of the Quality Management System.
  6. Have team building awareness, such as these team activities:(5s / Autonomous Team / SMED / TPM / Self Inspection / Shop Floor Meeting ).
  7. Meet EHS requirements, such as Using personal protection equipment correctly, respecting the safety norms in place.
  8. Execute workshop activities according to the needs of the area and through specific qualification.

Main Required Competences

  • Complete Elementary School and above.
  • Welding and thermal cutting special operation qualification
  • Occupational Qualification Certificate of Senior Technician
