About the Role

Amazon Information Service (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (Shanghai Branch) - C34 is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the operational accounting of a global team, which includes day-to-day management of financial accounts, indirect tax support, and annual audit support.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Accounting - Own operational accounting for multiple countries worldwide, including day-to-day management of financial accounts, indirect tax support, and annual audit support. Build Relationships - Own CN accounting/compliance and build/maintain relationships with Amazon Finance, Legal, Accounting, and Tax teams. Support Financial Reporting - Support in ongoing financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting. Deep Dive Analysis - Perform deep dive analysis to understand drivers of business. Process Improvement - Participate in the business and improve processes to grow the business. Tax Support - Support tax teams by providing audited Financial Statements, other documents for tax compliance.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • Degree in accounting or related field with sufficient experience to sit for the CPA exam (a CPA license is not required for this position)
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA
  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • Knowledge of internal control framework (specifically COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Experience with start-up, entrepreneurship
