Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Project Leader to join our team in Xiamen, China. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing projects in product development, involving all required multi-local resources to meet customer requirements.

About the Role

As a Strategic Project Leader, you will harmonize and define technical requirements with the customer in the form of defined project descriptions. You will ensure that agreed targets in terms of project quality, costs, and timing are met by coordinating arrangements with relevant departments.

Your Responsibilities

  • Implement projects in product development, involving all required multi-local resources to meet customer requirements.

  • Ensure that agreed targets in terms of project quality, costs, and timing are met by coordinating arrangements with relevant departments.
  • Plan internal and external capacities, involve in appointing team members taking account of individual potentials and competences, and assign work packages.
  • Assure systematic relationships with internal and external clients and special departments to be involved.
  • Making project controlling in the form of reviews (final and intermediate reports) with the clients on the basis of agreed quality, costs, and deadline targets.
  • Making-or-buy decisions in the context of the project (operating equipment, investments etc.) in cooperation with the project team or project purchasing by arrangement with the superior.
  • Understanding needs and market trends based on close customer communication and defining a strategy how to bring this customer demand into HELLA products.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in science and engineering.
  • 3 years working experience, especially in manufactural projects.
  • Management experience of multiple projects and know-how to co-work with multinational teams.
  • Good at written and verbal English, good logic thinking.
