Job Title: Acquisition Engineer

Job Summary:

The Acquisition Engineer will be responsible for the compliance of deadlines, monitoring of progress and results according to all relevant, valid management systems of all necessary individual tasks in accordance with the Acquisition Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Elaboration of a master schedule based on customer milestone
• Co-responsibility for technical presentations of submissions and quotes
• Establishing preliminary BOM
• Independent and self-reliant performance of benchmarking evaluations incl. reporting
• Definition of component requirements incl. critical features as well as identification of components requiring documentation
• Elaboration of product specifications
• Selection of material types (families)
• Documentation performance with respect to each relevant valid system such as Galileo, Palm etc.
• Documentation performance with respect to minutes of meetings, call reports and the distribution of relevant documents
• Allocation of project hours within each relevant valid system, e.g. SAP
• Selection of all process technologies in accordance with the Program Manufacture Leader& Acquisitions respectively with the project team/GTS/GC
• Cooperation with respect to the elaboration of tool concepts as well as to establishing tool specifications
• Cooperation with respect to FMEA product and process
• Cooperation with respect to the determination of quality features
• Cooperation with respect to validation requirement
• Cooperation with respect to D&D cost

Additional Tasks:

• Implementation of the Department's objectives
• Application of modern management methods to monitor all individual projects
• Supervision of interns and graduates currently working on their thesis
• Support with respect to pre-development and research tasks

Requirements:

• At least 3 years interior engineering background
• Know well of interior parts architecture concept, ex. IP, DP, TC, AV, lighting
• Know well of interior process flow, such as injection, slush, foaming, covering, wrapping...
• Know well of tooling concept, such as injection tool, slush and foaming tool and so on.
• Familiar with interior development phase and general OEM milestone, such as VW, VCC
• Familiar with interior product validations
• Good communication skill both with customer and internal
• Good English as the working language
• Good ability to cope with stress to finish the task with high efficiency and accuracy
