Purchasing Agent

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Agent to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for calculating inventory levels, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Calculate inventory levels, orders, and costs to ensure accurate reporting and invoicing

• Maintain organized records and files to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

• Post invoices using computer programs and reconcile shipping invoices and receiving reports

• Conduct inventory audits to determine inventory levels and needs, and complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies

• Notify manager/supervisor of low stock levels and verify and track received inventory

• Adhere to food safety and handling policies and procedures across all food-related areas

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least 1 year of related work experience

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisory experience

• License or certification in a related field
