Job Title: Structural Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Superintendent to join our team in China. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of structural projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of supervisors and interface with quality verification inspectors to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Provide leadership to ensure that the Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) plan is understood and implemented by the supervisors assigned to your discipline.
  • Ensure that the Quality Plan is understood and implemented by the supervisors and inspectors assigned to your discipline.
  • Lead the site quality verification team for your own scope.
  • Monitor yard productivity and manpower assignment to ensure construction schedule milestones are met.
  • Ensure that yard construction procedures related to your discipline are reviewed and approved.
  • Ensure that the Inspections and Test Plan (ITP) is followed and attended by your team.
  • Ensure that all quality verification documentation is duly reviewed and approved.
  • Ensure that manufacturing data records (MDR) are maintained, approved, and compiled on a systematic basis.
  • Maintain up-to-date as-built dossiers.
  • Ensure that discipline inspection test reports (ITR-A's and associated punch lists) are compiled and issued by the yard and approved and logged into the completion database.
  • Interface with supply chain to ensure that required on-site (ROS) materials are respected.
  • Assist the material controller in performing receiving inspections of materials and equipment related to your discipline.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or college degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry (onshore and offshore) and a proven track record in handling industrial automation projects engineering as a technical lead.
  • Familiarity with working across engineering disciplines in an EPC environment to erect and build FPSO modules.
  • Experience in structure fabrication, assembly, and erection.
  • Qualification in welding.
  • Qualification in non-destructive examination (NDE).
  • Working knowledge in rigging and heavy lifting.
  • Working knowledge of quality management processes.
  • Working knowledge in blasting and painting.
  • Understanding of regulatory and classification society requirements for FPSO modules construction.
  • Able to organize and execute multiple tasks on time and budget.
