Hardware Engineer for Electrification

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Hardware Engineer to join our Electrification & Automation team at Siemens Power Automation Ltd. As a key member of our R&D team, you will play a crucial role in driving the development of protection relay products and contributing to the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop hardware architectures and systems for protection relay products.
  • Collaborate with component engineers to select and introduce new components from Siemens library.
  • Develop specific schematic designs for new functionality and circuits.
  • Create layout drawings according to Siemens guidelines.
  • Conduct unit tests, EMC tests, and functional tests on new PCBA or devices.
  • Work with HW testers to set up test plans in each test stage.
  • Troubleshoot abnormal behaviors and collaborate with FW developers on low-level driver design.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronic, or Automation-related field.
  • More than 5 years of experience in protection relay, automation, or control device HW design.
  • Experience with EDA tools for HW design, preferably with Mentor.
  • Experience in BI/BO/analog circuit design, MCU/ARM mini system design, EMC design, and related certification and type tests.
  • Knowledge and skills in EMC standards and PCB layout drawing.
  • Workable English ability.
