About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at HITACHI ENERGY (CHINA) LTD. as an R&D Engineer for Wet Capacitor Design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of new products and maintain global technical support for wet capacitors and high-voltage products.
  • Create 3D models and 2D engineer drawings, conduct design reviews, and perform RCA and quality-related tasks.
  • Provide technical solutions and support cost-optimal high-quality design in collaboration with SCM and suppliers.
  • Maintain design, plan, and execute development tests and type tests for wet capacitors and prepare high-quality design outputs.
  • Live by HITACHI ENERGY's core values of safety, quality, and integrity, taking responsibility for actions and caring for colleagues and the business.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1-3 years of working experience in electromechanical design from the electrical power industry or high-voltage product design.
  • Rich experience in mechanical design and proficiency in CAD tools like Creo, UG, and Solid Works.
  • Project management (PMP) experience and PLM/SAP knowledge are preferred.
  • Good knowledge of machinery and production processes, including machining, casting, welding, and more.
  • Self-motivated, innovative, structured, and systematic thinking.
  • Strong result-driven, high-quality, and high-speed player.
  • Good team cooperation and communication skills.
  • Excellent learning ability and proficiency in both spoken and written English language.
