HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

You will gain firsthand experience in understanding the investment process within a premier global financial institution, along with insights into the firm's accounting, regulatory, and control frameworks that underpin these investments. This role involves reviewing intricate investment transactions to ensure compliance with financial and regulatory standards, as well as implementing systems and workflows for reporting and risk management. This position offers an excellent opportunity to leverage your technical, leadership, and interpersonal skills in a dynamic environment. You will collaborate with talented professionals across various departments and gain in-depth exposure to Goldman Sachs' businesses, products, and advanced technology systems.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee reporting and risk management of the firm's investment structures across diverse requirements.
  • Prepare reports in accordance with US GAAP for the firm's consolidated financials and US regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submissions of local statutory financials and regulatory documents.
  • Work closely with the Tax department to ensure compliance and effective risk management of tax responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with Treasury to confirm the adequacy and appropriateness of funding for the firm's investment structures.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of transactions regarding accounting treatment, funding, and control considerations across various asset classes (e.g., real estate, private equity, private credit).
  • Maintain a strong sense of control and ensure that control standards are upheld and documented.
  • Be a team player who can effectively collaborate with Business and other Federation teams.
  • Exhibit a strong, confident character, an innovative mindset, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Qualified accountant with knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and/or PRC GAAP.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the audit or finance sector in China.
  • Exceptional communication and time management abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with private equity funds is advantageous.
