The Role

We're seeking a skilled Touch HW Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to conceive and design innovative consumer products. Your expertise will be crucial in driving key aspects of product definition, execution, and testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead the technical architecture for display and touch components throughout the product life cycle.
  • Manage technical relationships with display and touch vendors to deliver components to specification and schedule.
  • Perform hands-on bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting of touch subsystems and display assemblies.
  • Function as a subject matter expert on touch, stylus, and gestures technology.
  • Travel to supplier and contract manufacturer sites worldwide to support product development activities (40% - 50% travel).
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in the consumer electronics or touch/display industry as a hardware engineer.
  • Experience with capacitive touch development or product integration.
  • Background in electrical engineering.
  • Experience with touch/display test equipment and methods.
Preferred Qualifications

We're looking for candidates with:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, and/or Materials Science.
  • Experience in C/C++ or Java programming in a GNU/Linux development environment.
  • Working knowledge of optics and Autocad.
  • Experience in working with international, cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
