About This Opportunity:

LumosCareer is seeking an innovative Visual Arts Teacher to join our team. As an experienced educator, you will teach high school visual arts courses, including traditional and digital mediums, while integrating AI tools and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach students the fundamentals of visual arts, incorporating both traditional and digital techniques, as well as AI-enhanced methods.

  • Guide students in exploring the intersection of art and technology, fostering skills in creative and critical thinking.

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that combine art theory, history, and AI-enhanced techniques.

  • Encourage students to experiment with new media and digital tools, pushing the boundaries of their artistic expression.

  • Organize student exhibitions and showcases that feature AI-based artwork and projects.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to promote cross-curricular projects, such as STEM and arts initiatives.

  • Evaluate student progress through a range of assessment methods, including project-based learning and portfolios.

  • Maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that respects diverse artistic perspectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Digital Arts, or a related field.

  • Teaching certification/license relevant to the subject area.

  • Experience working with AI in the creative process or willingness to learn AI tools and methodologies.

  • Proficiency in digital arts software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Procreate, and Blender.

  • Familiarity with AI tools like DeepArt, DALL-E, Runway ML, or other generative AI applications in the arts.

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.

  • Passion for nurturing students' creativity and helping them explore new artistic frontiers.
