SAP is seeking a highly skilled TypeScript Developer to join our team in building innovative generative AI solutions. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the core components of our AI platform using TypeScript and the React framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement the TypeScript-based backend infrastructure for our generative AI solution
  • Develop the front-end user interface using React, leveraging the latest features and best practices
  • Integrate and leverage cutting-edge language models and other AI technologies to power the core functionality
  • Develop modular, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices and design patterns
  • Collaborate with the broader engineering team to ensure seamless integration with other systems
  • Optimize performance, reliability, and security of the generative AI application
  • Document code, troubleshoot issues, and provide support for the deployed solution
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in the field of generative AI and related technologies

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in developing TypeScript-based applications, including with the React and Next.js framework
  • Strong understanding of TypeScript syntax, type systems, and best practices
  • Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Express)
  • Familiarity with cloud-based deployment and infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Experience with integrating and working with machine learning and AI models
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with LangChain or similar frameworks for building generative AI applications
  • Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) techniques and language model architectures
  • Exposure to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Understanding of agile software development methodologies
