Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchases from assigned suppliers following established purchasing policies and procedures and optimizes delivery, inventory, and transportation costs, which may include:
    • Order Book Management
    • Manage MRP Messages
    • Transportation Arrangement – Transport requests, shipped not received
    • Supplier On-Time Delivery (Grief/receiving discrepancies)
    • Supplier Quality (MRBRR, RTV, SCARs)
    • Supplier Payment Queries (invoice on line, RNV)
    • Inventory Turns
  • Plans, organizes, directs, and reports all activities and matters relating to supplier performance.
  • Participates in projects with other departments and/or external vendors driving performance improvement or cost reduction.
  • Works closely with manufacturing site/internal customer and past the requirements to region and prioritizes across other functions.
  • Determines the method of procurement, such as direct purchase, Supplier Managed Inventory, call-off orders, or other recognized industry best practices to support lead time reduction and lean activities.
  • Contributes to ensuring effective systems, procedures, and policies are maintained in line with all statutory and corporate requirements.
  • Performs other related duties and special projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working within a supply chain environment.
  • Ability to communicate (oral and written) effectively and professionally in both English and Mandarin.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working with ERP (i.e. SAP or JDE).
  • Qualified or working towards a relevant supply chain qualification.
  • Experience working with multi-national organizations and across cultures.
  • Strong sense of responsibility.
  • A good team player and problem solver.
  • Domestic and international travel may be required.
