We're looking for a skilled Digital Design Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle customer-reported issues and work closely with R&D managers to resolve critical customer issues.
  • Debug customer-reported failures, create test cases to replicate the failure, and log issues with HSV R&D teams.
  • Recommend potential workarounds or application-level solutions to customers when necessary.
  • Test R&D fixes/patches.
  • Develop expertise in hardware and firmware and support HSV field service teams for related issues.
  • Work with customers and internal groups to specify enhancement requests.
  • Test new product features for future software releases or hardware platforms.
  • Update product training materials.

Position Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (Master's preferred) with 8+ years of experience in design and/or verification of complex digital designs or applications engineering/technical support roles.
  • Strong knowledge of design debug techniques and a solid understanding of logic design.
  • Knowledgeable in verification methodologies for complex EDA environments.
  • Proficient in HDL languages like Verilog, System Verilog, and VHDL, with the ability to create test cases quickly.
  • Proficient in Unix/Linux scripting languages (ksh/bash/csh/perl).
  • Experience with emulation, preferably Cadence's Palladium product.
  • General knowledge of TBA, Coverage/Assertion flow, Low Power (UPF), and UVM experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate complex issues clearly and concisely to internal teams and customers.
  • Occasional travel (up to 10%) may be required to resolve critical customer issues.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
