Job Summary

As an IT Specialist at Corning, you will serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related requirements, ensuring timely responses to business users in the HF plant. Your daily IT service will involve coordinating with Global/Regional IT resources, responding promptly to urgent manufacturing issues, and participating in important plant activities as the IT contact window.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily IT service by coordinating with Global/Regional IT resources.
  • Respond promptly to urgent manufacturing issues.
  • Participate in important plant activities as the IT contact window.
  • Perform maintenance on the MES system software and hardware, such as barcode system, camera system...etc. when necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Engineering, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields in Management.
  • 3 years or more of hands-on experience in IT software and hardware maintenance; programing is preferred.
  • Experienced in working with IT systems in a 24/7 manufacturing plant environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Intellectual Asset Protection awareness is required.
  • Good English & Chinese communication in speaking, writing and presentation is must.
  • Manufacturing process knowledge is must; glass industry is preferred.
  • Capable of software development with tools such as Python, Java, C#, VB .NET, ASP .NET is a plus.
  • Manipulation of Relational Database Systems: SQL statements, stored procedures
  • Champion performance excellence and focus on quality.
  • Identify and mitigate risks.
  • Fundamental project management awareness and capability
