Literacy Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Primary Literacy Expert to enhance literacy instruction at Aristotle Teachers. The Literacy Instruction Coach will work closely with classroom teachers, administrators, and staff to develop strategies for struggling readers and support the overall improvement of literacy outcomes.

The school is a K-12 international school with a bilingual program using the US Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards. The curriculum is built on the strength from both Chinese and western education. Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teachers to develop, implement, and improve literacy instruction strategies in alignment with the schools curriculum and literacy goals.
  
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and modeling to classroom teachers on best practices for literacy instruction, differentiation, and interventions.
  
• Facilitate professional development sessions, workshops, and literacy-related training for staff.
  
• Analyze literacy data to identify trends, monitor progress, and inform instruction decisions for improved student outcomes.
  
• Work with administration to align literacy goals with school-wide initiatives and ensure that literacy programs are culturally responsive and inclusive.
  
• Support the development and implementation of literacy assessments and help interpret the data to drive instructional improvement.
  
• Conduct classroom observations and provide actionable feedback to teachers.
  
• Collaborate with teachers to develop engaging and effective literacy interventions for students who are struggling with reading and writing.
  
• Stay current with research and trends in literacy education to ensure the schools literacy program reflects best practices.
  
• Engage with parents and the community to foster a culture of literacy both at school and at home.

The salary and benefits package provided is highly competitive depending on the qualifications and experiences of the successful candidate.

Competitive base yearly salary and promotion system $53K-$65K per year
