We are seeking an experienced Automotive Systems Engineering Leader to join our team at General Motors. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading multi-functional teams across domains and implementing successful Systems Engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-functional teams across domains to drive system-level solutions and ensure successful implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies for complex systems engineering projects.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and delivery of projects.
  • Travel to engineering sites and supplier offices as required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of automotive systems engineering experience and 8+ years of total engineering experience.
  • Experience in automotive product release and specification process.
  • Proven experience leading multi-functional teams across domains.
  • Deep knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and a proven track record of successful implementation.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in writing and comprehending software and hardware requirements and interfaces.
  • Understanding of major automotive vehicle systems such as AD/ADAS systems, chassis and vehicle dynamics, automotive networks, propulsion, body controls, infotainment (HMI), etc.
  • High level of oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong focus on program management, metrics, data, and results.
  • Experience with automated driving sensors (cameras, lidars, radars, ultrasonic sensors).
  • DFMEA training/DFSS certification.
