Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our Business Excellence initiatives at Roche. This role involves establishing a comprehensive Business Excellence (BE) Framework that integrates various operational improvement activities into a cohesive system.

  • Develop and implement a structured BE framework with clearly defined components and assessment criteria.
  • Utilize the framework to evaluate the current state of business excellence, identify deficiencies, and formulate a strategic roadmap for improvement.
  • Initiate and oversee projects aligned with the roadmap, employing methodologies such as Agile, Lean, and BPM to enhance each aspect of the framework.
  • As part of the Global Operations Lean team, harness global insights and resources for local execution while actively contributing to international initiatives.
  • Manage the Site Project Portfolio and Continuous Improvement (CI) Portfolio through standardized processes, ensuring visibility of key projects, resource allocation, risk management, and progress tracking.
  • Promote a Global CI Platform at the site to streamline idea management for continuous improvement.
  • Establish and refine a standardized process for managing Site Project and CI projects, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness based on business requirements.
  • Provide support and guidance to functional and cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of CI projects.
  • Foster a CI community and nurture a culture of continuous improvement among employees, encouraging the adoption of CI principles in daily operations.
  • Lead the Site CI squad to drive ongoing improvements and innovation.
  • Organize annual CI events or similar programs to boost the CI mindset, methodologies, and capabilities of employees, while incubating projects that enhance key business metrics such as cost, lead time, and quality.
  • Utilize site culture initiatives to acknowledge and celebrate excellence in ideas and projects.
  • Leverage both internal and external resources to provide training, workshops, and consultations aimed at enhancing employee knowledge and capabilities.
  • Establish an Operations Performance monitoring and evaluation system utilizing digital solutions, enabling leadership to make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and initiate projects aimed at continuous performance enhancement to achieve site objectives.
