Job Summary

This role is responsible for driving company values and philosophy, ensuring all training and development activities are strategically linked to the organization's mission and vision. The position works with property leadership teams to identify and address employee and organizational development needs.

Candidate Profile

A successful candidate will have a 2-year degree in Human Resources, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major, and 2 years of experience in human resources or a related professional area. Certified trainer experience is also required.

Alternatively, a 4-year bachelor's degree in a related field, certified trainer experience, and no work experience are required.

Core Work Activities

Administering Employee Training Programs

The successful candidate will: promote and inform employees about training programs; display leadership in guest hospitality and create a positive atmosphere for guest relations; ensure employees receive ongoing training to understand guest expectations; use effective training methods to ensure employees have a good understanding of guest satisfaction and can demonstrate guest satisfaction skills.

Evaluating Training Programs Effectiveness

Responsibilities include monitoring enrollment and attendance at training classes; meeting regularly with participants to assess progress and address concerns; partnering with operational leaders to assess if employees demonstrate effective technical and leadership skills; reviewing comment cards, guest satisfaction results, and other data to identify areas for improvement.

Developing Training Program Plans and Budgets

The successful candidate will ensure all training and development activities are strategically linked to the organization's mission and vision; identify performance gaps and work with managers to develop and implement appropriate training to improve performance; make any necessary adjustments to training methodology and/or re-train as appropriate.

Managing Training Budgets

Responsibilities include participating in the development of the training budget; managing the budget in alignment with human resources and property financial goals; managing department controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
