At Lumentum, we are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of our products.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement test processes and systems into existing production environments.
  • Support product launches into manufacturing, including setup test kits in manufacturing systems, product assembly, and test tracking.
  • Design test processes and create work instructions to ensure efficient and effective testing.
  • Identify opportunities to improve yield, efficiency, PFMA, and cycle time (HPU) through the development of new test processes and systems.
  • Drive automation and eliminate manual tasks to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Develop new and modify existing test hardware and software to meet product requirements.
  • Analyze, debug, and recommend corrective actions for test-related issues on the manufacturing floor.
  • Support NPI projects and FA/RMA processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years' experience with Test Engineering in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of circuit diagrams and electronic components.
  • Experience with Measurement System Analysis (MSA), GR&R, and Correlation.
  • Strong data analysis and report preparation skills.
  • Track record of delivering innovative solutions to challenging problems.
  • Proficiency in C#/VB and Matlab programming, test automation, and Minitab/JMP skills are a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Flexibility to work on a flexible schedule and occasional overseas travel.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Willingsness to participate in calls in multiple time zones for NPI projects and occasional overseas support for other sites.
