At Avery Dennison, we are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Automation Asst. Technology Manager to lead and support step-change improvement and next-generation manufacturing capabilities. This expert-level technical role will drive improved speed to market, productivity, quality, and cost while promoting EHS and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support strategies, initiatives, and ongoing technology scouting associated with manufacturing automation at Avery Dennison manufacturing sites and outsource partners.
- Collaborate globally with technical, operations, supply chain, and business colleagues across all functions to identify and develop technologies and process changes to reduce time and manual effort.
- Identify and develop next-generation manufacturing platforms and processes, accelerating conversion to digital workflow.
- Support technology and product roadmaps for near and long-term strategy, recommending and advising on capital investments, equipment modifications, and technology improvements.
- Project management – effectively leading project teams and proactively managing execution of priority initiatives to deliver improved processes and results.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or commensurate training and work experience with demonstrated technical expertise across a range of products and technologies.
- Minimum 5 years related work experience with demonstrated success in manufacturing technologies, operations, process improvements, and problem-solving.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with limited supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to coach, train, and develop others.
- Ability to effectively work, positively influence, and collaborate with others.
