Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Curriculum Designer and Coach to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our curriculum and supporting teachers in delivering high-quality learning experiences that align with our vision and mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Curriculum Design and Innovation:

  • Create an engaging and effective curriculum that promotes learning through play for young children.

  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies, activities, and resources to enhance student learning outcomes.

  • Stay up-to-date with current educational trends, best practices, and research to continuously improve and innovate the curriculum.

Teacher Coaching and Support:

  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and support to teachers in implementing the curriculum effectively.

  • Identify areas where teachers may need assistance or improvement in their practice and develop tailored support plans.

  • Model effective teaching strategies in the classroom when required and facilitate professional development sessions.

Performance Management and Appraisal:

  • Collaborate with leaders to ensure teachers meet performance standards in line with ISS appraisal standards.

  • Conduct or support appraisal observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work collaboratively with Principals, teaching teams, and ISS to ensure consistency and coherence in curriculum delivery.

  • Maintain open communication channels with staff, fostering a culture of trust and transparency.

Professional Development and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Organize and facilitate professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their pedagogical skills and knowledge.

  • Encourage teachers to engage in research, apply new ideas, and reflect on best practices.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, preferably with a Master's degree.

  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in early childhood or primary education.

  • Proven experience in curriculum design and development, preferably in an inquiry-based learning environment.

  • Strong coaching, mentoring, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support and empower teachers.
