Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team at Voith Group. As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for paper machines and related process areas. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products and systems.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automation solutions for paper machines and related process areas, including hardware and software engineering.
  • Execute SAT and FAT to ensure the quality of deliverables.
  • Participate in site commissioning and startup to ensure smooth operation of automation systems.
  • Ensure that delivered products and systems meet customer contract requirements, including cost, schedule, and quality expectations.
  • Identify and document technical risks and escalate issues to the leader engineer and project management team to minimize exposure to unusual risk or liability.
  • Communicate technical concepts and status to customers during project execution and negotiate appropriate technical solutions to problems that arise.
  • Provide honest feedback to support continuous improvement objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Automation Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of progressive experience in Automation Engineering or services.
  • Experience in paper industrial is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Good language skills in English.
  • Proficiency with MS-office software.
  • Teamwork spirit and ability to relate well to people at all levels.
  • Creative thinking skills and ability to establish good relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Effective multitasking skills.
  • Experience with engineering software such as CAD, COMOS, SAP, and automation platforms like Siemens PCS7 & WinCC, STEP7.
