About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our team at IQVIA. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in shaping and developing requirements for ambitious life science questions, translating business requirements into data science-focused solutions, and communicating technical concepts and analytical output to a diverse range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the team and clients to develop and implement data-driven solutions to complex life science problems.
  • Design and develop advanced analytics models and algorithms to drive business insights and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation and areas for improvement across the workflow.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, robust insights and reports to support business decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning, and apply this knowledge to drive business growth and improvement.

Requirements:

  • Graduated degree or higher in a technical or scientific domain, such as Statistics, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science.
  • Two to five years of experience working in a technical/consulting environment involving advanced analytics, preferably in a commercial setting.
  • Strong scientific programming skills in languages such as Python, R, SAS, SQL.
  • Knowledge of supervised machine learning methods, such as regularized regression, ensemble tree-based models, support vector machines, deep learning methods, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Natural Language Processing, such as sentiment analysis, topic model, NER, etc.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills, including ability to present technical concepts to non-expert, write analysis plans for projects under guidance, contribute to proposals applications, etc.
  • A proactive, innovative, and pragmatic approach to problem solving and an ability to think critically and independently, able to work as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
