Job Title: APAC Transport Manager

Coty is seeking an experienced APAC Transport Manager to join our Global Transport and Customs & Trade Compliance Organization (GTC). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing governance over carriers and brokers services in the APAC region and supervising both inbound and outbound shipments/customs operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor perfect execution of APAC outbound and inbound operations, including customs activities, through KPIs analysis and collaboration with Factories, DCs, LSPs, and Control Tower.
  • Review factories, TPMs, and DCs operations and collaborate with them to review KPIs and results of transport and customs-related activities.
  • Collaborate with Logistic Service Providers and customs brokers to ensure transport capacity and proper customs setup at the right time.
  • Provide maximum visibility of shipments, including customs-related processes, to stakeholders and management teams.
  • Continuously coach control tower and service providers, including customs brokers, to install a culture of root-cause analysis, data review, and issue reoccurrence avoidance.
  • Evaluate vendor operations (e.g., freight forwarders and customs brokers) according to defined KPI targets.
  • Register and coordinate solving customs-related incidents.
  • Support adherence to Coty's global transport and customs SOPs and policies.
  • Support the development and implementation of new logistic solutions.
  • Actively identify and drive implementation of customs simplifications.
  • Perform customs and trade compliance internal audits, as well as support in case of external audits, as a subject matter expert.
  • Monitor financial results to determine if they are in line with agreed annual targets and agreed cost, understanding and analyzing deviations where needed.
  • Prepare required data/analyses/presentations for Monthly/Quarterly/Annually Business Reviews with LSPs and internal stakeholders.
  • Run analysis to support business process/tenders & Logistic Service Providers continuous improvement and projects.
  • Communicate with LSPs, Factories, DCs, Finance teams, and other relevant stakeholders to obtain all required information to support creation of State-of-the-Art reporting for transport, customs & trade compliance purposes.
  • Occasionally lead/join project teams to support initiatives and projects.
Requirements:
  • Required educational background: B.Sc. degree in Logistics - advanced degree an advantage.
  • Minimal 8-10 years of relevant working experience (preferably in Multinational company - preferable experience in Cosmetics, FMCG or Global forwarding company).
  • In-depth knowledge of key supply chain/logistics/transportation processes & current best practices.
  • Exposure to transport operations and customs regulations in APAC countries.
  • Strong analytical and fact-based problem-solving skills.
  • Result-oriented attitude, capable of delivering under pressure and managing business autonomously, including setting the right priorities.
  • Excellent skills in EXCEL - VBA creation capabilities will be an advantage.
  • Very good skills in PowerPoint and presentations.
  • Strong team player - able to act in a complex matrix organization effectively and proactively.
  • Innovation skills.
  • Ability to visualize thoughts in an adequate way, enabling the ability to bring messages across to Senior Management audience - Executive reporting.
  • Fluent in English, another language is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Flexible working style, able to work with individuals from all backgrounds and cultures.
