MYP Coordinator

We are seeking an exceptional educator to join our team as a MYP Coordinator & Curriculum Coach at Western Academy of Beijing. This is a unique opportunity to lead the implementation of the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and drive curriculum development in our middle and high schools.

The MYP Coordinator & Curriculum Coach will be responsible for ensuring the effective development and delivery of the MYP, as well as leading curriculum development and innovation in teaching and learning. This role requires a strong understanding of the MYP, as well as experience in leading others and driving curriculum development.

• Lead the implementation of the MYP in grades 6-10, ensuring alignment with IB standards and practices.
• Develop and deliver curriculum materials and resources to support MYP teachers.
• Collaborate with curriculum leaders to ensure horizontal and vertical articulation across the school.
• Research and implement innovative approaches to teaching and learning, including inquiry, concept-based, and personalized learning.
• Support teachers in integrating service learning and approaches to learning in the curriculum.
• Facilitate professional development training for teachers on MYP and curriculum development.
• Participate in the self-study, evaluation, and 5-year review process for the MYP.

• Master's degree in Education or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in teaching and leading in an IB school.
• Strong understanding of the MYP and IB standards and practices.
• Experience in leading others and driving curriculum development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents.
