About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Supplier Development Engineer to join our team. As a Supplier Development Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing supplier development actions to improve supplier performance and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute supplier development actions to improve supplier performance and quality.
- Monitor and guide supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
- Responsible for quality, delivery, and cost activities using defined supplier development tools.
- Execute supplier audits and follow-up according to supplier audit plan.
- Analyze supplier performance data to identify areas for improvement.
- Support suppliers in their operational efficiency, organizational growth, and product improvement and development initiatives.
- Develop and execute supplier development action plans for supplier improvements as assigned.
- Assess and follow up suppliers' quality management systems and supplier management system (VMS) rating.
- Participate in the development of Wärtsilä's tools and procedures for supplier development and participate in assigned development projects.
Requirements
- 5-8 years' experience in SDE, SQE role in mechanical.
- Familiar with forging, casting is necessary.
- Bachelor's degree or above.
- Good communication skills.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Accepts frequent business travel.
